Sherlock Holmes is Resurrected in May!

The third play of A.C.T.'s third season hits the stage in May. The Reluctant Resurrection of Sherlock Holmes is a comdeic mystery featuring one of the most famous detectives of all times, Sherlock Holmes. This play is brought to us by Canadian Playwrite David Belke. It was first seen in Edmonton, as an entry to the Edmonton Fringe Festival.

The plot

The home of Desmond, Abigail and Rose Westhaven is said to be haunted. In fact, sightings of the ghost have frightened most of the service staff away. There is a mystery afoot and only one man can solve it, Sherlock Holmes. Unfortunately Sherlock only exists in story books, and so the Westhavens have to take the next best thing, the author of those books, Arthur Conan Doyle. Doyle, a renouned spiritualist is nothing like Sherlock Holmes, infact he is obsessed with discovering proof of an afterlife and seeks to meet the ghost. His imagnination is vivid however, vivid enough to bring Sherlock Holmes to life, to aid him in solving the mystery whether Doyle likes it or not. The secrets of passion, betrayal and murder are all revealed to the keen deductive eye of Sherlok Holmes, and the man who created him.
